Anchors away! Acoustic axes blasted through the night as the Victory cruise ship sailed farther away from land… Songs sung by Zakk Wylde soared into the deep sea, the music of he and Dario Lorina was as fresh as the breeze in unison. The newest addition to BLS, Dario is an accomplished player of the guitar and piano. We were headed towards Keys West and the Bahamas, escorted by this duo it was a get away not soon to be forgotten.
The romance continued as the days went by and time passed with the rythm of the waves. There was a BLS workshop and people gathered together to hear Zakk’s ravished shredding with the alluring Dario’s accompaniment.
Take a lesson from Dario and you will understand what it takes to be indoctrinated. Onboard we had the incredible opportunity to get to know him and see him play up close. Was it his sweet talking six strings or his sheer magnetism that drew me to each scheduled appearance. As fastidious as might’ve been expected, he gave the impression of an invaluable friend.
The BLS concert in the theatre enchanted us again as the players took their turns at the keys, and their voices held us enraptured. The mesmerized crowd was pleased when Capt’n Zakk still shredding; stepped down into the audience for some face time. Indefatiguable as always, the BLS duet was as steadfast as the Victory herself.
Now that we’re back on land, I am hoping there is another BLS concert soon!
